Bought one these for my 1898 Krag and was very impressed! The dark stain of the leather complements the color of the aged finish on my rifle’s stock perfectly! Quality seems to be excellent. On a side note, the leather has a much more brinier smell to it than most modern treated leather. I don’t know whether or not if that may be indicative of more period correct methods of leather treatment (I don’t claim to be an expert on leather goods), but at the very least it smells amazing!
