KTM 50 SX 2026 The 2026 KTM 50 SX is the ideal entry into the world of motocross. It’s designed to excite young riders with fun, speed, and control. Built around a high-strength steel frame, it offers durability without sacrificing performance. Additionally, it features an upgraded WP XACT AER fork, WP XACT monoshock, and a new Formula hydraulic brake system. As a result, both beginner and experienced youth riders can enjoy a confident start. FIND THE RIGHT FIT Fit matters—especially for growing riders. The 2026 KTM 50 SX includes built-in adjustability based on rider data and feedback. For example, the seat height can be set between 634 mm and 682 mm. This is achieved through flexible suspension, adjustable handlebar positions, and a modular subframe. IgnitionThe digital ignition system has been upgraded. Not only is it more responsive, but it also ensures cleaner combustion. In addition, it offers rpm-specific timing like KTM’s full-size SX models. A new throttle cable cap reduces kinking and extends cable life. CarburetorFuel delivery is managed by a reliable Dell’Orto PHBG 19 BS carburetor. It works in harmony with the engine, exhaust, and intake system. UNMATCHED PERFORMANCE At the heart of the KTM 50 SX is a compact two-stroke engine. However, this is no ordinary setup. The 3-shaft design places the crankshaft near the center of gravity. As a result, the bike achieves excellent mass centralization and intake efficiency. Power-Reduction KitsTwo power-reduction kits are available via KTM PowerParts. One reduces output to around 4 hp for new riders. The other provides roughly 8 hp for intermediate skill levels. Clutch & Spark PlugYoung riders benefit from the automatic centrifugal clutch. It is fully adjustable and requires no special tools. Furthermore, a reinforced clutch basket increases reliability. The long-thread Brisk spark plug now has part numbers printed for easier identification. FRAME & DRIVABILITY The KTM 50 SX’s side panels are slim and boot-friendly. This layout mirrors KTM’s full-size SX models. Additionally, front number plate flaps protect the lower triple clamps from roost. The chromoly steel frame features forged connecting parts. As a result, it delivers ideal rigidity and flex. Unlike traditional frames, the 50 SX uses a cradle layout with a rear shock mount separated from the upper frame tube. This design improves both handling and rider feedback. WHEELS, SUSPENSION & BRAKES Wheels & TiresRugged Maxxis MX-ST tires are fitted to black anodized aluminium rims. These offer strong grip and stable tracking on all terrain. SuspensionHandling is responsive thanks to the 35 mm WP XACT AER fork. This setup delivers 205 mm of front travel. In the rear, the fully adjustable WP XACT monoshock keeps the ride balanced. Most importantly, it’s frame-mounted to reduce flex and maintain geometry. Footpegs“No-dirt” footpegs provide a larger standing area. Additionally, they reduce the chance of clogging in deep ruts or muddy tracks. BrakesHydraulic Formula calipers and wave discs are fitted front and rear. Consequently, the KTM 50 SX offers confident braking in any condition. COOLING To keep the engine cool, KTM fitted a large, single radiator. This is similar in design to full-size SX models. The radiator is integrated into the tank spoilers to improve airflow. Moreover, the 2026 model includes a new threaded radiator cap. As a result, riders can access the cooling system quickly and with minimal effort. With a full range of KTM POWERPARTS and KTM POWERWEAR, it’s also never been easier to kit yourself and your new out bike for that factory feel! Read more Close
