KTM 990 RC R 2026 The 2026 KTM 990 RC R is KTM’s return to middleweight Supersport, built to bridge race-track performance with road legality. It packs 130 PS and 103 Nm from a 947 cc twin, offering explosive acceleration and top-end composure. Moreover, its design delivers serious aerodynamics, sharp handling, and premium electronics without compromising everyday usability. Engine & Power Delivery The 947 cc parallel-twin engine provides strong power across the rev range, thanks to Bosch EMS and refined exhaust tuning. A 6-speed gearbox paired with a slipper clutch gives clean, responsive shifts. Furthermore, the stainless-steel central exhaust helps centralize mass and improve throttle feel. Chassis, Suspension & Handling Built around a chromium-molybdenum steel frame with the engine as a stressed member, the 990 RC R feels both rigid and agile. WP APEX hardware handles suspension duties: a 48 mm open-cartridge front fork and fully adjustable rear shock. Because of smart geometry and adjustable footpegs, it offers excellent feedback in every corner. Brakes, Wheels & Aerodynamics Stopping power comes from twin 320 mm Brembo front discs with 4-piston callipers and a 240 mm rear disc with a single-piston calliper. Cast aluminium wheels with Michelin Power Cup 2 tyres give excellent grip and stability. Meanwhile, aerodynamic fairings and winglets generate downforce at high speed, aiding stability without compromising looks. Technology & Electronics An 8.8-inch TFT display serves as command centre, showing ride modes like Street, Rain, Sport, and Custom. Optional Track & Tech packs add features like launch control, telemetry, and rider-assist systems. In addition, the ABS, traction control, and wheelie regulation adapt depending on your settings and riding style. Comfort & Dimensions Seat height stands at 845 mm, while ground clearance is 163 mm, making the bike aggressive yet manageable.
